SUBJECT:  LOOSE SHOULDER BELT STRAP POST; PARTS REGISTRATION—HANDLE ASSEMBLY

DESCRIPTION

Repeated shock and vibration over a long period of usage may cause the screw on the strap post for the shoulder belt to become loose. As a result, the camcorder may drop suddenly to the ground.

If the screw becomes loose, replace the handle assembly with a new handle assembly. The new assembly has a built-in strap post and screw. (See Figure 1.)

NOTE:

Refer to the DVW-700 Maintenance Manual, Part 2, Volume 2, page 5-20, “Top Frame.”

Refer to related technical bulletin 20-1996-083.

After replacement, perform self-recording and playback, confirming that no problems occur. Perform tape path adjustments as required.
